DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The vibrant Mindanao startup scene is buzzing with innovation, and Leave a Nest Philippines is proud to amplify this energy with the groundbreaking Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2025! Building on the success of our regional expansion in Visayas last year, we are thrilled to unveil the selected Finalists and Lightning Talk teams ready to captivate audiences with their deep tech solutions. Witness these pioneering pitches at the highly anticipated Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2025 Demo Day Event, happening on July 19, 2025, at the Garden Oases Convention Center, The Ritz Hotel and Garden Oases, Davao City.

Leave a Nest Philippines is dedicated to fostering and spotlighting the thriving deep tech sector within university and startup ecosystems. While Metro Manila has traditionally been a hub for research and development, we firmly believe in promoting and uplifting the immense research and innovation capabilities across all regions of the Philippines. The Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2025 is a testament to this commitment, specifically designed to recognize and empower the deep tech research and startup ecosystem in Mindanao, demonstrating that significant innovations and research prowess are flourishing beyond metropolitan areas. 

Aligned with its mission of “Exploring Deep Tech & Solving Deep Issues,” the TECH PLANTER program operates across six ASEAN countries: the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. This platform serves as a vital entry point for deep tech research teams and startups, providing access to our Knowledge Platform, potential future research collaborations, and crucial investment opportunities. For this inaugural Mindanao iteration, we received a total of 23 eligible deep tech applications from across the region, showcasing Mindanao's vibrant innovation and research capabilities.

Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2025 Demo Day Finalists

We are proud to announce the 9 finalists who have been meticulously selected from a strong pool of applicants. The following 9 Finalist teams will go head-to-head through a 7-minute pitch and 5-minute Q&A during the Demo Day event to notch the Grand Winner Award and other company awards.

Lightning Talk Teams

Aside from the distinguished Finalists who will battle out for the Demo Day awards, several innovative teams have been selected to deliver Lightning Talks, offering a quick glimpse into their promising deep tech solutions that are poised to make a significant impact in the region. These teams were invited due to their potential opportunities within the Leave a Nest deep tech ecosystem.
