Deep Tech Grand Prix 2025: Grand Prize Won by Synclor Corporation - Accelerating DX at Manufacturing Sites with PHASERAY® Phase-Polarized Light Technology
2025/09/16
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Liberace, Inc.Deep Tech Grand Prix 2025The Grand Prize and the Company Prize were decided at the "International Competition for the Best Product" held at the Center of Garage (Sumida-ku, Tokyo).
Since 2020, the Tech Planter has been developed under the concept of "Deep Issue & Deep Tech Explorer," in which unsolved issues (Deep Issue) are solved with the collective power of science and technology (Deep Tech). This year, 335 teams from Japan and abroad applied. Twelve teams selected from among them took the stage as finalists and passionately presented their ideas for solving social issues using technology and the possibilities for developing fundamental technologies.
The prestigious Grand Prize was awarded to Synclor Corporation (theme: "Optical technology that can provide true DXing of manufacturing sites worldwide").PHASERAY®, the phase polarization technology developed by the company, is a unique hardware technology that makes it possible to "visualize what you want to see and make invisible what you do not want to see. This technology is expected to be applied to a wide range of industrial fields, including manufacturing sites, because it can provide realistic and vivid raw images while significantly reducing the man-hours required for advanced image processing that were previously necessary. The challenge of spending more than seven years in technological development and the possibility of social implementation at this very moment, which is essential for image recognition AI and industrial DX, were highly evaluated and unanimously selected by the judges as the Grand Prize winner.
Synchroa, along with the Tech Planter Grand Prize winning teams in the other six areas,The Japan Society for Hyperdifferentiation 2026 Tokyo-Kanto Conference(March 6 and 7, 2026) to participate in a special pitch session. In addition, the two teams that excel in this session will advance to the TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2026.Through this platform, LIVERNESS will expand the ecosystem in Japan and Southeast Asia where venture companies, large corporations, mid-sized companies, and researchers will work together to solve deep issues.
