About the Marintec Grand Prix.

Marine technology is an area where technologies for "passing on the richness of the oceans to the next generation" are gathered. The vast ocean, which occupies approximately 70% of the Earth's surface, contains a vast amount of unknown resources and an ecosystem that has yet to be fully elucidated. On the other hand, the ocean is a special environment that is completely different from the terrestrial environment, presenting a variety of technical challenges. Waterproofing, pressure resistance, poor radio wave reception, and susceptibility to rust are all areas where common sense on land does not prevail, which is why unique technologies are needed.
In this area, we will bring together the wisdom of our time to create wisdom for the next generation and create a world in which humanity can continue to use the oceans in a sustainable and progressive manner.
