11/8 (Sat) Tohoku Tech Plan Grand Prix will be held!

(Representative Director, Group CEO: Yukihiro Maru; Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) has been promoting "Regional Tech Planter," a program to discover and foster research and development ventures, since 2016, with the aim of creating new industries in the region. Together with local governments, regional banks, universities, and businesses in each region, we are building an ecosystem to create the next mega-venture over the next 10 years by linking the research results of universities and research institutions and the technological seeds possessed by small and medium-sized businesses to social implementation.

And from 2023, we have designated six prefectures in the Tohoku area (Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima) as priority regions, and are developing the Tohoku Tech Planter with researchers and venture companies, aiming to change the world from Tohoku through science and technology with passion.

The Tohoku Tech Plan Grand Prix will select 12 teams from this year's entries to make presentations in order to brush up on commercialization, explore possibilities for collaboration among teams and with regional development partners, and work together to create a future movement.

Place: Forest Sendai Conference Rooms 1 and 2 (1-2-45 Kashiwagi, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture)
