    D., Pharmacist, founded LIVERNESS in 2002 with only undergraduate and graduate students of science and engineering while in graduate school. After completing the doctoral process, he worked as an assistant professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Kitasato University, an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, and a specially appointed associate professor at Keio University before assuming and concurrently serving as a professor of advanced pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumamoto University and a visiting professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Keio University in 2018. He is a researcher and manager involved in launching joint research projects with universities and research institutions and supporting the establishment of research institutes while conducting research and development.

    Atsushi Maruyama
    After engaging in RM for small and medium-sized companies at domestic sales branches, he joined MHCB Corporate Planning Department in 2012, where he was in charge of overall planning and fund management, He joined the Innovation Company Support Department in December 2024, and assumed his current position in April 2025. He is in charge of planning and promoting startup support, including the operation of the membership service "M's Salon" and investment in VC.

    He completed his graduate studies at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Keio University. He was seconded to Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and served as a specially-appointed researcher at the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, and ACCEL Program Manager at the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). He was appointed President and Representative Director of Glocalink, where he remains to this day. He has a proven track record of providing hands-on support to pre-startup teams and investing in and fostering venture companies immediately after their establishment. He has been actively involved as an advisor and board member of various companies.

    Born in 1978, he joined Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. in 2013. He is assigned to Research Department 3, Research and Development Division. He is engaged in the development of rubber rollers for electrophotography, medical rubber used in syringes, and high damping rubber for seismic dampers, etc. From January 2024, he has been promoting new businesses, including institutional design of new businesses, in the Research Planning Department, Research & Development Division.
