TECH PLANTER in Indonesia 2025 proudly welcomes this year’s Partners and esteemed Panel of Judges for the upcoming TECH PLAN Demo Day, happening on 26 July 2025, at Bandung Techno Park, Bandung, Indonesia.

This year’s panel features a distinguished lineup of leaders and ecosystem builders from Indonesia and abroad, bringing together expertise from across industries to support and empower deep-tech innovators. Leading the panel as Head Judge is Mr. Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Meet the Judges

Mr. Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Head of Judge)

Mr. Ahmad Zaim Hussin is the Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia, leading initiatives that connect science, technology, and entrepreneurship through education and strategic partnerships. He works to strengthen innovation ecosystems in Malaysia and Indonesia by supporting startups and engaging with industry and academia. With a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Zaim began his career in telecommunications, gaining valuable technical and problem-solving experience. He now focuses on bridging education and industry, designing programs that inspire young people to pursue their passions, explore new ideas, and contribute meaningfully to society through curiosity-driven innovation and collaboration.

Dr. Iwan Iwut Tritoasmoro, ST., MT., Director,  Bandung Techno Park

Dr. Iwan Iwut Tritoasmoro is a lecturer in Telecommunication Engineering at Telkom University and currently serves as Director of Bandung Techno Park. He holds a Doctorate in Technology Management from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and has over two decades of experience in academia, innovation management, and startup incubation. He previously managed ZTE-IT TELKOM Asian Pacific R&D and Training Center Engineer Development Program and served as General Manager at Bandung Techno Park. Dr. Iwan is also Secretary General of Asosiasi Science Technology Park Indonesia (ASTPI) and former board member of Asosiasi Inkubator Indonesia (AIBI). He actively contributes to national innovation policy, agro-tech projects, and training programs across Indonesia.

Mr. Bayu Fajar Nugroho, Director, Small and Medium-Sized Industry of Food, Furniture, and Building Materials

Mr. Bayu Fajar Nugroho is the Director for Small and Medium Industry of Food, Furniture, and Building Materials at Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry (since 2024). With 21 years of service, he has held various key roles across the ministry. He holds a civil engineering degree, a master’s from KDI School (South Korea), and is pursuing a PhD in management at Padjadjaran University. He has published in journals such as Science Direct and served as Head of Public Relations for the Padjadjaran University doctoral student association (2021–2024).

Mr. Nur Islami Javad, Founder & CEO, invst.ID

Mr. Nur Islami Javad (Jeff). The Founder of Invst ID (Angel Investor Network) has invested in over 50 starting ups/new venture businesses in Indonesia. He also serves as a commissioner and stakeholder in 14 starting ups in Indonesia. As an Ecosystem Enabler, He is active as the VP of Startup Bandung Community, Cofounder of Business Initiative Movement (BIM), MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program) Core Team and support many other startup/business communities. As the Chief of DEF Sharing Vision (a top IT consulting firm in Indonesia), he supports many digital enterprises.

Dr. Winardi Sani, Dipl.-Ing, President Commissioner, PT. Xolare RCR Energy, Tbk.

Dr. Winardi Sani, Dipl.-Ing. is a specialist in energy systems, sustainability, and project management. He is Deputy Director of GPM Asia Pacific, Director at SMART Indonesia, and President Commissioner of PT Xolare RCR Energy. With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UTHM Malaysia and engineering degrees from TU Braunschweig, Germany, he has over 15 years of academic and industrial experience. Dr. Sani is a Certified Green Project Manager (GPM-b), RTTP-certified trainer, and consultant to major energy companies like Pertamina. He actively contributes to policy, education, and certification programs across Southeast Asia.

Ms. Utari Madani Jayyidah, Venture Development Specialist, Ecoxyztem Venture Builder

Ms. Utari Madani Jayyidah is a Venture Development Specialist at Ecoxyztem Venture Builder, where she supports climate tech startups in finance, strategy, and go-to-market planning. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Padjadjaran University. Utari has experience in market research, sustainability analysis, and communications design. She leads initiatives like Inwaste Indonesia and has won multiple awards, including 3rd place in Pemuda Pelopor 2021. With strong skills in business analysis, project management, and environmental advocacy, Utari is passionate about advancing sustainable development aligned with the UN SDGs.

Ms. Shiori Yamashita, Manager of D-LAB, Japan Tobacco Inc.

Ms. Shiori Yamashita is the Manager of D-LAB, Japan Tobacco. She is primarily responsible for new business development based on “Delightful Moment”. JT and D-LAB is not limited to a sector, but respects the “Delightful Moment” all over the world, and they think about what we can do for the moment every day. She is looking for people who can create the “Delightful Moment” with amazing technologies and knowledges together. She graduated from University of East Anglia (UK) with a bachelor in business management.

Mr. Daiki Kumamoto, Executive Director, UntroD Capital Asia Pte. Ltd.

Mr. Daiki Kumamoto joined UntroD Capital Japan in 2019 as its first new graduate hire. In 2020, he was instrumental in establishing the Real Tech Global Fund, which invests in leading deep-tech startups across Southeast Asia. Daiki plays an active role in supporting portfolio companies with regional growth and market entry into Japan. In 2023, he was appointed Executive Director of UntroD Capital Asia, overseeing the firm’s regional operations.

Ms. Nur Suhailah Mohamad, RTTP,  Assistant Manager, Technology & Digital IoT Sandbox Capacity Building and Ecosystem (CBE), SCENIC

Ms. Nur Suhailah Mohamad is the Assistant Manager of the Technology Pillar & Digital IoT Sandbox at Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre (SCENIC), where she leads tech transfer and digital transformation initiatives in Sabah. With expertise in stakeholder engagement, ecosystem development, and project execution, she supports inclusive innovation across academia, industry, and community. Suhailah is a certified Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) and has completed all four ATTP core certifications. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business and is pursuing a Master’s in Human Capital Management. Passionate about impact-driven innovation, she plays a key role in advancing Sabah’s digital and tech ecosystem.

The TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2025 Panel of Judges will be evaluating the nine (9) Indonesian deep tech research and startup Finalist Teams during the Demo Day on 26 July 2025 (Saturday).
