TECH VENTURE MEETUP Thailand 2026 Announces Panel Discussion
2026/11/06
The 144-Year Experiment: Can Today’s Startups Become Tomorrow’s Institutions?
Bangkok, Thailand — 6 November 2026
Leave a Nest is pleased to announce a special panel discussion, “The 144-Year Experiment: Can Today’s Startups Become Tomorrow’s Institutions?”, taking place at TECH VENTURE MEETUP Thailand 2026 on 13 November 2026 at TPA29 Co-creative Workspace, Bangkok.
Startups are often built around speed: developing technologies quickly, finding product-market fit, raising capital and scaling into new markets. But what happens when we look further ahead?
What would it take for today’s ventures to continue creating value 50, 100 or even 144 years from now?
Inspired by Leave a Nest’s philosophy of 144-year ventures, this panel explores a different way of thinking about entrepreneurship and business growth. Rather than asking how quickly a company can grow, the discussion asks how a company can continue to evolve, remain relevant and create value for society across generations.
The panel brings together perspectives from venture building, established Thai industry and the wider Thailand-Japan industrial ecosystem.
Dr. Wisuwat Songnuan
Panelist | Chief Strategist, Advanced GreenFarm Co., Ltd. (FLO) | Assistant Professor, Mahidol University
Dr. Wisuwat Songnuan brings together research and venture strategy, connecting scientific knowledge with the development of new businesses and opportunities. She is an Assistant Professor at Mahidol University and has a background in plant science, genetics and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
As Chief Strategist of Advanced GreenFarm (FLO), she works on translating scientific knowledge and technology into new opportunities in food, health and sustainability.
Her perspective represents the journey from research and technology to venture creation, asking how today’s knowledge and innovations can continue creating value as markets, technologies and societal needs change.
Ms. Patcharapa Kitaphanich
Panelist | Managing Director, Somboon Advance Agriculture Co., Ltd.
Patcharapa Kitaphanich represents the third generation of the Somboon Advance Technology (SAT) group, a family business with roots going back to 1962. She is Managing Director of Somboon Advance Agriculture, the group’s agricultural machinery business.
Before taking on this role, she spent nearly eight years as Head of Strategy and Sustainability Development, shaping the group’s long-term direction with management and the Board. Earlier, she was a consultant with Ricardo Strategic Consulting in Michigan, USA, and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Her perspective represents established companies and generational continuity, offering insight into how a company can evolve across generations while continuing to create value amid changing technologies, markets and societal needs.
Mr. Krittanan Piemchamroen
Panelist | Director General, Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan)
Krittanan Piemchamroen is the Director General of the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA), responsible for leading organisational strategy, improving business performance and enhancing operational efficiency.
He has extensive experience in factory management and project leadership, having previously served as Factory Manager and Director at FUJIFLEX MEDICAL (THAILAND) CO., LTD. His expertise includes business strategy, financial analysis, cost reduction, productivity improvement and cross-functional management. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan.
His perspective represents industry and the wider ecosystem, exploring what capabilities, relationships and support structures Thailand needs to help businesses and emerging ventures continuously develop and remain competitive across generations.
Mr. Ambrose Chia
Moderator | Managing Director, 144 Ventures Pte. Ltd. | Science Bridge Communicator, Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Ambrose Chia is Managing Director of 144 Ventures, Leave a Nest Group’s pre-seed investment company, and a member of Leave a Nest Singapore. His work focuses on deep-tech venture development, cross-border partnerships and innovation ecosystem building across Southeast Asia and Japan.
Through 144 Ventures, Ambrose works with researchers and founders to develop technologies into ventures with the potential to create long-term value for society. He will moderate the discussion from the perspective of Leave a Nest’s 144-year venture philosophy, asking what it means to build companies not only for today’s market but for the generations that follow.
From Venture Creation to Generational Value
The discussion will explore what needs to happen between creating a promising venture and building an organisation that can continue creating value for generations.
“If we meet again 100 years from now, what would we want the companies and ventures we build today to have contributed to Thailand?”
Beyond Success: Building What Comes Next
The 144-year philosophy is not about keeping a company unchanged for 144 years.
A company that lasts must change.
Its technologies, products, people, business models and markets will inevitably evolve. What matters is whether it can continue to create meaningful value as the world around it changes.
Through this panel, TECH VENTURE MEETUP Thailand 2026 invites founders, corporations, researchers, investors and ecosystem partners to reconsider what long-term success means for deep-tech ventures — and what we can begin building today for the generations that come after us.
