The 3rd Kansai Tech Plan Grand Prix was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Hartung Hall Nippon Seimei Midosuji Building 12F, and the winning teams for the Grand Prize and Corporate Award were selected.

LIVERNESS Corporation designated two and three prefectures in the Kansai area (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, and Wakayama) as priority regions and held the "3rd Kansai Tech Plan Grand Prix" with the aim of discovering and fostering teams with science and technology and passion to change the world from the Kansai region. This year, 12 finalist teams, selected from a total of 33 entries, gave presentations on the issues they are working to solve, their core technologies, and business plans.

First,Keynote speeches by senior entrepreneursMr. Yukihiro Ishida, President of Second Heart Co., Ltd. gave a presentation titled "The Challenge to Achieve Zero Leg Amputations due to Diabetes Starting from Knowing the Challenges," in which he introduced his activities to solve the serious needs he saw at clinical sites by creating a platform for remote monitoring and testing equipment, and expanding implementation from Southeast Asia and Malaysia while making maximum use of the LIVANESS system and network. He introduced his activities to the audience, saying, "Innovation is proportional to the physical distance traveled, so I encourage you to visit the field and expand your knowledge by taking action. Many unused timbers are left unattended in forests throughout Japan, posing a challenge from the perspective of resource recycling and forest conservation. In addition, with growing concerns about global food and feed shortages, a new approach is required to utilize these resources sustainably.

Taking advantage of the characteristics of the Kansai region, which is rich in forest resources, the contestants were selected for the Grand Prize as "a challenge to realize a sustainable society utilizing local resources," in anticipation of the possibility of creating a new industry by combining the power of knowledge, including that of Kyoto University.
