Philippines Regional TECH PLANTER returns with: Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2026
2026/06/03
Leave a Nest Philippines continues its renowned TECH PLANTER program, as the next regional implementation will be taking place in Davao City, Mindanao on the 26th of September 2026. By providing the opportunity for local deep tech startups to collaborate and form meaningful connections with interested partners, Mindanao TECH PLANTER 2026 seeks to further develop the deep tech ecosystems within the region.
The Core of TECH PLANTER Program
The main purpose of TECH PLANTER is to identify researchers and startup organizations who exhibit the passion and the desire to introduce meaningful solutions to the deep-rooted issues of society. Through the use of their skills and knowledge in developing research-backed technologies, these ideas are driven one step further in their development as they address issues related to agriculture, marine science, food security, life sciences, eco sustainability, biology, and other verticals where STEM-based technologies are used to solve deep social issues. The regional implementation takes after the parent program in Japan, where the different regions of Japan were given their own opportunities to present their research. By once again adopting the Regional TECH PLANTER in Mindanao, it would be the Mindanaoan institutions and stakeholders who will be receiving this opportunity for development. In the Philippines, shifting the focus to beyond Metro Manila allows for the growth of the deep tech ecosystem to take root and grow throughout the country, which in turn allows for more collaboration and growth between regions.
