TECH PLANTER Vietnam 2026 Announces Nine Outstanding Finalists Driving Deep-Tech Innovation

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – June 2026

TECH PLANTER Vietnam 2026 is proud to announce the selection of nine outstanding finalist teams that will advance to the Demo Day stage. Following a competitive evaluation process, these teams were selected for their technological novelty, potential societal impact, scalability, and commitment to solving critical challenges facing communities, industries, and the environment.

Representing sectors such as advanced materials, energy storage, climate-smart agriculture, biotechnology, digital infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and healthcare, the finalists showcase the growing strength of Vietnam's and the region's deep-tech innovation ecosystem.

Meet the TECH PLANTER Vietnam 2026 Finalists

3 in 1

The 3 in 1 team has developed a multifunctional decentralized water treatment technology that integrates coagulation, adsorption, and disinfection into a single treatment material. Designed for deployment in disaster-prone and resource-limited environments, the system effectively removes turbidity, nutrients, organic contaminants, and harmful microorganisms without requiring electricity or complex infrastructure. Initial studies have demonstrated over 90% turbidity removal, up to 99% phosphorus removal, and greater than 99.99% microbial reduction, making it highly suitable for rural communities and aquaculture applications.

Byo Max Pty Ltd

ByoMax Pty Ltd has developed an innovative platform that converts renewable biomass into industrial-grade Pure Carbon materials. Combining proprietary Quantum Diffuser purification technology with an advanced anoxy gas furnace system, the process removes impurities that traditionally limit the performance of biomass-derived carbon products. Beyond producing high-quality renewable carbon suitable for steelmaking and industrial energy applications, the platform also generates clean pyrolysis gas, renewable electricity, and pyrolysis oil, contributing to a more sustainable and circular industrial economy.

RENOVA

RENOVA transforms difficult-to-recycle waste streams into high-performance construction materials through its proprietary “Five Elements” composite matrix engineering technology. By combining recycled HDPE, multi-layer packaging waste, treated rice husks, and advanced coupling agents, the team produces lightweight ventilation blocks with exceptional strength, moisture resistance, and thermal performance. Validated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the design achieves a negative carbon footprint while delivering practical construction benefits, demonstrating how waste materials can be converted into valuable climate-positive products.

SHW

SHW is developing a bio-based superabsorbent hydrogel synthesized from sodium lignosulfonate, a by-product of the pulp and paper industry. The hydrogel acts as both a water reservoir and controlled-release fertilizer carrier, significantly improving soil moisture retention and nutrient efficiency. By reducing irrigation frequency and minimizing fertilizer loss, SHW offers a sustainable solution for climate-resilient agriculture while reducing dependence on petroleum-based polymers.

CAS Farm

CAS Farm is building a Climate-Smart Circular Farm model that integrates renewable energy, aquaculture, precision agriculture, and livestock production into a single sustainable ecosystem. Powered by rooftop solar systems, the farm utilizes smart monitoring technologies to optimize crop production while reducing environmental impact. The model combines fish farming, precision gardening, and free-range egg production to create a diversified and circular food production system that enhances food security, resource efficiency, and climate resilience.

enfarm Agritech

enfarm Agritech empowers farmers through data-driven agricultural decision-making. By combining agronomic expertise with digital technologies, the platform provides real-time recommendations for fertilizer management, soil health optimization, and crop productivity improvement. The solution helps farmers reduce input costs, improve sustainability, and make informed decisions that increase both yields and profitability.

Shio-ion

Shio-ion is advancing next-generation sodium-ion battery technology through AI-driven materials discovery. By utilizing machine learning, the team identified promising metal phosphide materials such as ZnP₂ and GeP₅ capable of significantly increasing battery energy density. Through a scalable high-energy ball milling process, Shio-ion creates chemically bonded carbon-coated composite anodes that overcome the severe volume expansion challenges of alloy-type battery materials. The result is a pathway toward safer, more affordable, and higher energy-density batteries that can accelerate renewable energy adoption and energy storage accessibility.

Vox Cool Joint

Vox Cool Joint is revolutionizing cold chain and thermal energy storage through its innovative Cold Battery technology. Utilizing advanced Phase Change Materials (PCMs), the system stores and releases thermal energy without electricity, compressors, or moving mechanical parts. Available across twelve engineered temperature ranges from -33°C to +21°C, the technology serves applications ranging from vaccines and food storage to personal cooling solutions. Developed in collaboration with researchers from Oxford University and manufactured in Da Nang, Vietnam, Vox Cool's solution enables significant energy logistics cost savings while supporting sustainable and net-zero cold storage infrastructure.

RUSTECH

RUSTECH has developed the RUSTACK ecosystem, an integrated hardware and software platform designed for secure, resilient, and sovereign digital infrastructure. At its core is the RUSNODE hardware system featuring a modular stack design and AI-powered network routing that continuously optimizes bandwidth, latency, and transmission stability. Complementing the hardware is the Sovereign Suite software ecosystem, including RusOS, Rustsuite, and RusGCS, all developed entirely in-house. Together, the system provides highly secure and scalable communications and control capabilities for critical operations, remote management, and autonomous systems.
